Erling Haaland Drug Test Mystery Norway Team Baffled

Erling Haaland Drug Test Mystery: Norway Team Baffled

Norwegian soccer team baffled as drug testers ask for Erling Haaland and another striker who is not in the squad

The Norway national soccer team was left baffled after drug testers asked for Erling Haaland and another striker who is not even in the squad.

The incident occurred after Norway's 0-0 draw with Slovenia in Ljubljana on Tuesday.

According to Norwegian media, the drug testers arrived at the team hotel and asked for Haaland and another striker, Alexander Sorloth.

However, Sorloth is not part of the Norway squad for the current international break.

The drug testers then left without conducting any tests.

The Norwegian team was reportedly "surprised and confused" by the incident.

Team manager Stale Solbakken said: "We were just sitting there having dinner when the drug testers arrived.

"They asked for Erling Haaland and Alexander Sorloth, but Sorloth isn't even in the squad.

"We were all a bit surprised and confused."

The Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) has contacted UEFA to investigate the incident.

The NFF said in a statement: "We have contacted UEFA to express our concerns about this incident.

"We believe that the drug testers made a mistake and we are confident that UEFA will investigate the matter fully.

"We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in football and we will not tolerate any form of cheating or drug abuse."

The incident has raised questions about the drug testing procedures in place for international football matches.

It is unclear how the drug testers could have made such a basic error, and it is also unclear why they left without conducting any tests.

UEFA has not yet commented on the incident.
