In the upcoming third season of AMC's hit series
Preacher, Jesse Custer's (Dominic Cooper) search for God will lead him back to the place he's been avoiding his entire life. As teased in the show's Comic-Con trailer, Jesse will return to his hometown of Annville, Texas, where he'll face his past and the demons that have haunted him since he was a child.
Return to Roots
Annville is a small town with a dark secret. It's the place where Jesse's father, a ruthless pastor, abused him and his mother. It's also the place where Jesse first met Tulip (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), his loyal companions on his journey for God. Returning to Annville will be a difficult experience for Jesse, but it's also a necessary one. He needs to confront his past in order to move forward with his life and his quest for God.
Facing the Past

Preacher Season 3 hints at some of the challenges Jesse will face when he returns to Annville. He'll be reunited with his estranged family, including his abusive father.
